Clicking on layers selects wrong layer

currently when in editor view and I wish to change layers I can use page up/down fine but if I try to use the mouse to select a layer the bounding box detection is off by at least 1 and selects the layer 1 or 2 frames below/above the one I want.

I am using the itchio client to launch the spritestack app. win64, 16gb ram.
